As we approach the end of the school year, it becomes increasingly important that your child masters certain skills in order to be prepared for first grade. They need to be able to button their own pants, zip their own coat, and tie their own shoes. They need to master the correct pencil grip. They also need to be able to keep up with their own things, like book bags, lunch boxes, coats, and pencil boxes. You can help your child do these things with practice at home.
